About Us
The Mahogany Grille is co-owned by two aspiring restaurateurs; Michael Elmes, and Frank Kropf. Prior to entering the restaurant business, the duo enjoyed successful careers on and off Wall Street. The Harvest Moon Brewery/Cafe, was their first foray into the restaurant business. The "Moon" quickly became known as an institution throughout Rutgers University. (This was especially thrilling for Rutgers Graduates Mike and Frank ~ class of '95.)
The Mahogany Grille was the clear and natural next step for the duo. Fine dining at the Jersey Shore has long been an underserved market. "Our" goals are to maintain levels of excellence for service, quality of food, and decor... and we will spare no expense to meet our goals."
